StairGlow Emergency exit Stairwell Systems is the result of a collaboration between Bill Woolfall, President and owner of Volk Corporation, and his long-time business associate Ron Kay, CEO of Technical Polymers, LLC.
Volk Corporation has sold marking and identification products since 1890, and photoluminescent safety products have been a part of Volk's product line for some time.
Technical Polymers develops, produces and markets a wide variety of engineering plastic and thermoplastic elastomer compounds that provide alternatives to industry standard materials, giving their customers a competitive edge.
Bill Woolfall understood the importance and necessity of photoluminescent exit products to the modern commercial building and public safety industries. Ron Kay saw the potential to use his company's knowledge of innovative materials and production techniques, and his processing technology expertise, to develop a superior line of photoluminescent safety products: patented products that were superior in quality and durability, and less expensive to produce, than anything currently on the market.
A partnership was then created and the products were licensed to Brady Corporation in Milwaukee Wisconsin, who will distribute these patented products in the Catalog and MRO market channels under the Bradyglo trade name.
Products will be available through both Brady Corporation and Volk Corporation under the Bradyglo and StairGlow trade names.
The anti-slip tread and the photoluminescent strip is molded into the design to eliminate any chance of lifting, delamination or separation.
