Mr. Bill Woolfall, President, Volk Corporation, Farmington Hills, MI announced today that Volk Corporation has been awarded a contract from Palace Sports and Entertainment for its patented new flagship Stairglow® brand (www.Stairglow.com) of photoluminescent anti-slip stair nosings.

Palace Sports and Entertainment will be installing all of the executive suites of The Palace of Auburn Hills (home of the Detroit Pistons) with these innovative photoluminescent stair nosings.

In his announcement Mr. Woolfall highlighted the reasons for this award.

“Facility management and marketing executives were impressed by the unique one-piece design incorporating an anti-slip surface with photoluminescent glow in the dark features which prevent slips and falls,” he aid. “The patented one-piece design eliminates any possibility of anti-slip and photoluminescent strips delaminating, which is a weakness in competing products.
