StairGlow™ handrail covers, in square or round versions, are designed to fit easily and attach permanently to a wide variety of stair rails. The photoluminescent strip is an integral part of the handrail design; this eliminates the possibility of lifting or wearing off that can occur with products such as luminescent tape. StairGlow™ handrail covers comply with the requirement that all handrails be marked on the top surface with a solid and continuous stripe having a minimum width of 1”. And unlike other emergency exit lights and stair lighting, no batteries are required-- the photoluminescent strip glows for several hours after being exposed to ambient light. This provides the durable, permanent, maintenance free core of the emergency exit system along with the StairGlow™ stair nosings.
